The purpose of this section is to inform data subjects who access the site of the essential aspects of personal data processing. Per our company policy and applicable legislation, such data will be processed in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency and protection of your privacy and rights. The Company guarantees compliance with applicable personal data legislation. In particular, the Company guarantees compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, the “Personal Data Protection Code”, as amended and extended, and Regulation (EU) No. 679 of 2016 on the protection of personal data, applicable from 25 May 2018.

This document has been drafted in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 (hereinafter the “GDPR”) in order to provide you with access to our Data Protection Policy. It describes the general approach to processing personal data regarding the site’s users and cookies, in addition to indicating how your personal data are managed when you use our website,

The information and data that you provide or that are otherwise obtained in the course of the use of the services provided on the Site will be processed in accordance with the Regulations and the personal data protection obligations by which Salov S.p.A. is inspired. According to the Regulation, data shall be processed in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose and storage restriction, data minimisation, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.

The Controller for data processed through the Site is Salov S.p.A., with registered office at Via Gaetano Luporini 807, Lucca (Italy), to which you may write for any information regarding personal data processing. The Company has appointed a Data Protection Officer responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules protecting your privacy, who may be contacted for matters relating to the processing of your data at the following address:


2) Types of personal data

Please be advised that the Company may process the following types of personal data based on your browsing of the Site and use, if any, of the services provided:

2.1) Browsing data

In the normal course of their operation, the computer systems and software procedures that permit this website to function obtain certain personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communications protocols. The information in question is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its nature it could be used to identify users through processing and association with data in the possession of third parties.

This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the addresses of the requested resources in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.), and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment. These data are used solely to derive anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to monitor that it is functioning properly. Such data could be used to investigate hypothetical cybercrimes against the website. Your data will be stored for up to 24 months.


2.2) Data provided voluntarily

In addition to what is stated above regarding browsing data, you are free to provide the personal data included in any request forms present within the website. Failure to provide such data could render it impossible to provide the service. In such cases, only information necessary to the requested service will be requested. Your data will be stored for 36 months.


3) Purposes and legal basis of processing

The purpose of our intended processing of your personal data, with your specific consent, where necessary, is:

• to allow you to browse the Site and receive the services offered by the Site.
The legal basis of processing is the performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), since such data must be processed to provide the requested Service. Providing your personal data for this purpose is optional, but if you refuse to provide your personal data it may be impossible to deliver the Services offered by the Site.

With regard to the data processed, the Company guarantees that you may:

• obtain confirmation of whether personal data regarding you exist and receive a copy of such data in an intelligible form;
• have your data updated, rectified or supplemented;
• request that your data be erased, within the terms permitted, or request that they be anonymised;
• object to the processing of personal data regarding you, in whole or in part, for legitimate reasons;
• restrict processing, in the event of a breach or a request for rectification or objection;
• request the portability of data processed electronically, provided on the basis of consent or contract;
• withdraw consent to the processing of your data, where permitted.

Please be advised that the Company undertakes to respond to your requests within one month, except for particularly complex cases, in which up to three months may be required. In any event, the Company will explain the reason for the delay to you within one month of your request.
You will be informed of the outcome of your request in writing or in electronic format. If you request rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, the Company undertakes to inform each recipient of your data of the outcomes of your requests, unless so doing proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to withdrawal.
Please be advised that the Company may charge you a fee if your requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive, and it will keep a record of your requests for action for this purpose.
